The Shows

Duncan_Galloway_012The DGQ is a lively quartet consisting of Duncan singing standards taken from legendary composers such as  Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Walter Donaldson.

Timeless songs such as ‘I’ve got you Under my Skin’ ‘As Time Goes By’ and ‘S’Wonderful’ to name a few. Complementing Duncan’s vocals and saxophone are the talented Colin Good on Piano, Jerome Davies on bass, and John Watson on drums,  The group presents these songs with humour in its own inimitable style, and has been described as ‘one of the slickest quartets on the scene’.

The repertoire includes songs that were sung by some of the great voices of the 20th Century such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole and many others.

The repertoire is similar to the smaller unit, drawing on all the musicians experience in the field of hot Jazz. Timeless standards such as ‘Georgia on my Mind’ and ‘It had to be You’ are nestled together, for example, with a red hot stomping version of ‘I found a new Baby.’ Duncan presents the ultimate American song book, with a dash of charm, plus the odd Dorothy Parker or Noel Coward anecdote!
